Maserati GranTurismo Has People Talking – Maserati, the Italian car manufacturer doesn’t exactly make cars. It may be described as a car, however that’d be like describing DaVinci as a painter. Maserati create masterpieces of engineering genius, combined with looks that would make even DaVinci jealous.
There’s not many of these Italian babies on the road, with only 5000 being sold in 2009. Maserati is the rare find, the one for the extravagant driver. When compared to Porsche, which sells around 20,000 a year, and Ferrari 6,250 in 2009, the Maserati label is a sign of someone with a rare, unique taste who only wants the best.
The newest Maserati to hit these shores is definitely a masterpiece, both inside and out. The GranTurismo convertible is a large car, larger in size than the Bently Continental, but is far more elegant thanks to it’s sexy, stunning curves which make the car easy on the eye.
Underneath the hood is a 433-horsepower engine, which may kick off slowly, reaching 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, which is slower than some Mitsubishis and Cadillacs. With a car this good though, you’d want people to have a nice, long look at your car, you’d want to show off you’re in a Maserati, not leave them wondering what that flash was.
