Tributes to Michael Jackson for the anniversary of his death – Fans of Michael Jackson in New York and in the rest of the country plan to pay tribute Friday, and mark the first anniversary of his death.
The king of pop died a year ago at 50. A memorial ceremony will be held at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, and Gary, his hometown in Indiana.
Reverend Al Sharpton, who is close to the Jackson family, has scheduled a minute of silence around the time of his death.
Safety barriers have been installed in the cemetery where he is buried in Los Angeles. A lot of bouquets, designs and photos of the star were placed close to his mausoleum.
