Sarah Palin Gulf Oil Spill:Palin Slams Obama – Sarah Palin has been very vocal in her lack of support for President Barack Obama, leading many to believe that she may be planning to run for President in the upcoming election. She recently stated that she feels that it is a good idea to have gained some executive experience before attempting to handle the presidency. Following the comment, she outlined her own experience on her Facebook page. In her statement, she urged Obama and the oil industry executives to give her a call in hopes that they can figure out a way to fix the situation in the Gulf of Mexico.
She also took shots at the media , saying that she is angry that the media has not called Obama out on the way that the situation has been managed. While many have been pointing the blame at the oil companies, Palin has been pointing the blame at Obama. Obama has revealed that he had not spoken with the BP CEO Tony Hayward because he believed that he would say “all the right things,” and was more interested in action than words.
Palin made light of that statement, saying that Obama was not prepared to handle the situation. Obama went on to say that he had been in contact with him on a daily basis through spokespeople, but reiterated that he had not spoken to him himself, directly.
“The current administration may be unaware that it’s the President’s duty, meeting on a CEO-to-CEO level with Hayward, to verify what BP reports,” wrote Palin.
This woman has got to be insane. Moreover, she actually does have people that buy into her statements, which is worse.
She makes statements like: she feels that it is a good idea to have gained some executive experience before attempting to handle the presidency.” I can only guess that she feels that she has the experience from a statement like: “she urged Obama and the oil industry executives to give her a call in hopes that they can figure out a way to fix the situation in the Gulf of Mexico. ” I am real curious what she thinks her input would bring to the table.
As for her experience? Well: “she outlined her own experience on her Facebook page.” Oh, well there you have it. She says something on Facebook and it makes her the one right person.
From my memory, she had a mayoral seat that she gave up before it’s termination to run for the Governor which, under scrutiny of multiple “Ethics” charges, and found guilty. She decide to leave that office because it was costing too much in legal fees.
So, no office term ever completed. Well, she did write a book, I wonder how much help was given her and how much was actually fabricated. McCain didn’t seem to say much in favor of the book, and I don’t really see him standing up for her and her T baggers.
Yet, she can sling mud with the best of them. Let’s not forget her religious grounds here. Her own daughter giving birth out of wedlock. I guess her daughter didn’t listen to her either.
Or, her secessionist husband. I’m sure he listens, or does he?
As for The President, he has had to fight for everything that he has accomplished. No President ever has had to fight so hard to get things done. Yet, he trudges forward and gets the job done.
Oh, but why did he let things get so out of hand in the Gulf? That really is a good question. But, wait a minute, didn’t the accident happen in International waters. 50 miles out. Our authority to protect our shores is 12 miles, isn’t it? So, I would think he was on top of things that were within his realm of authority well before the shores were threatened. They said that they would have it under control in days, not months. BP, came up with plan after plan to stop the flow of oil into the water. Where were all these so called experts then? Or, since? Why no outcry that these plans are not going to work. I certainly didn’t hear a word from Palin or anyone else about how they would certainly fail, and I really have yet to hear any better plans offered. Just criticism.
Why so much blame on him? For one thing, he accepts it. he is not a spineless jelly fish that just throws mud in a different direction, no smoke and mirrors to hide any goings on.
He does point out who could have acted faster, but , ultimately, he tells you that it’s on his back. Even though I think that after being told so very many times that it is going to be under control soon. All, by the experts that are so smart and have these grandiose ideas.
This isn’t the fault of MY President and yours. There are many people to blame, but that will start after the catastrophe is contained.
Let’s stop slinging mud and get behind him and work together to get through this. It’s not only the people on the coast that are going to suffer in the end. Those of us in every state in the land will bear some pain. Stop fight against the person trying to help the most.
I’m neither Democrat or Republican, I am just a man tired of all this rhetoric from people that could help but won’t .
