Sarah Palin Keynote Real Estate Conference Fails – Sarah Palin has been making headlines in recent weeks, delivering a number of speeches to conservative crowds, including some in front of the famous Tea Party. She has been able to earn herself a large stack of money that one day could be going toward a presidential campaign, if you believe what many experts have been saying. Recent reports have stated that Palin earns up to six figures per speaking engagement, and got her daughter involved in the business who is earning around 15k per speaking engagement regarding teen pregnancy. However, some audiences have been less receptive of Palin than others.
Her latest speech this last weekend at the ICSC RECon Conference in Las Vegas did not go over as well as some of her previous speeches. In her speech, it appeared that Palin had made no attempt to gear her speech toward the crowd, or at least focus on her views that would be a benefit to those who were in the room. Instead, she gave them her complete view of the nation, a view that many in the crowd did not share. She did make a few comments regarding real estate and shopping centers, but did not really address that crowd in particular. Instead, it appeared that Palin gave a normal stump speech that she could have given anywhere.
She took a few shots at President Barack Obama throughout her remarks, which were met with a warm reception by many in the crowd. She also said that she was against excessive regulation and would like to see states govern themselves on a more regular basis, but did not say anything that the crowd would have found interesting like carried interest, or tax treatments. Many people in the crowd had very negative views of the speech that Palin had delivered them.
If they somehow expected $arah to say something useful to a roomful of real estate professionals, then they got what they deserved for being so gullible. The grifter strikes again! $arah doesn’t know anything about this or any other subject. She gets paid $100k to stand there being pretty for an hour. I hope it was worth it.
