Shahzad Faisal Talking – Officials working on discovering who was behind the bombing attempt at Times Square say they now have a suspect in custody. His name is Shahzad Faisal, a naturalized American citizen who came from Pakistan. Reports are saying that he could have a deeper connection to Pakistan terrorist groups. Faisal is just 30 years old and was found at the John F. Kennedy airport where he was trying to get on a flight to Dubai very early this morning. Some of the authorities on the scene said that Faisal was questioned and it’s believed that he lived in Connecticut. He has a Pakistani origin and he paid in cash for a Nissan Pathfinder very recently. The Nissan Pathfinder was used as the stationary vehicle to hold the bombing equipment in the attempt.
The car was set on fire but the bombs inside never detonated on Saturday. Times Square was crowded and filled with innocent people, mostly tourists in the area.

There has been a two day investigation on the bombing attempt and now Faisal is the man in question. The Obama administration was on top of the case and they say that there are international and domestic cues that suggest this attempt could have involved more than one person. Few days ago a leader of a Pakistani terrorist group stepped forward and acknowledged that they were behind the attempted bombing. Statements about the situation came from the Attorney General Eric Holder who spoke to reporters in a news conference that took place in Washington. The announcement was just 2 days after the attempt. Police had to evacuate the area and deactivate the bomb which took close to 10 hours.

Shahzad Faisal is said to be talking and cooperating with authorities.
