Sarah Palin Americans For Prosperity:American Dream Summit – The former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin will be speaking at the upcoming American Dream Summit. This summit is held by the free market group Americans for Prosperity. The group is a right leaning political organization who favors a capitalist free market. This will be Palin’s third speech to a tea party related group since the beginning of the year. The first two speeches that were made to similar groups included a speech at the National Tea Party Convention and a speech in March at the Tea Party Express Rally.
The event will take place May 1st, and Palin’s name being included will likely draw much larger crowds than originally expected. The event will include a gubernatorial debate and number of different training sessions that are available for aspiring and current conservative activists.
Palin’s speech will more than likely coincide with a visit to Michigan from President Barack Obama. Obama is slated to give a commencement speech at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Obama and Palin will be less than 100 miles apart preaching two very different viewpoints to audiences.
Palin recently campaigned for John McCain in Arizona in an attempt to rally the republican base behind McCain on the heels of several polls that showed that McCain was losing ground in his home state following his 2008 presidential bid that fell short with Palin as his running mate. She was also recently given her own reality show entitled “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” a show that will feature Palin taking camera crews to the many different beautiful locations within Alaska.
Sarah Palin is a rock star, just like she always wanted.
She ain’t a politician’s hind leg and she can’t save the GOP. End of story.
So nice that in this ‘socialist state” Sarah Palin can still make these high profile appearances and keep raking in the bucks from Republican rubes. But what of her Mother of the Year status? Where are her children while she and Todd are flying hither and yon collecting big checks? Who is taking care of that special prop, er, baby while Mommy is busy with makeup and hair, and trying to decide which lie she will focus on today? Palin cares about Palin, not about the country (they support secession for Alaska,) not about the people except those who pay her for drawing crowds, and certainly, not about her children’s lives. Eventually her lies will catch up to her, and she will, at last, face some consequences. It will be wonderful to hear her say, just once, “I made a mistake. I’m sorry.”
