420 Meaning:Why Is 4 20 National Weed Day? – 420 has been around since 1971, it was created by students at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California. The exceptionally large amount of people that smoke marijuana in the United States often celebrate this day by smoking pot. There have been rumors about the exact origin of the day 420 and why it has been associated with a day to smoke marijuana. People seem to think all different answers for 420 but the truth of the matter is that 420 is just a day that has been developed like mothers day or fathers day in effort to get people to join together and smoke weed. While marijuana might be detrimental to your lungs, it has been proven to be the safest drug that is available on the streets. Some research shows that marijuana may even be more safe than some prescriptions drugs that you can acquire through the doctor. Lets not get going on the possibility of legalizing marijuana though because we all know it does have some dangerous effects.
People all around the country are gathering to smoke and promote marijuana. Well you might be curious how they can do this considering marijuana is illegal but it all comes down to the fact over if cops feel it is necessary to stop those who are doing it. If you are smoking right in front of a policeman, it is likely he will take it but probably won’t charge you with anything but it is still a possibility. In Seattle, Washington they celebrate a Hemp Fest festival once a year and it is said that the police show little to no effort to stopping marijuana usage on that day. Many people choose to just stay aside from the public and smoke it by themselves.
I highly doubt 420 has been around “since the beginnings of when people began to smoke marijuana” it’s been around since like the 1970′s people started smoking marijuana before 1 BCE, so yeah…
This is retarded. I don’t even want to get into how sad it is that some people need a false sense of happiness to get by in life.
Hows this for an idea: Get out of the haze, and see things for how they really are. If you are smoking pot, chances are your not doing the world a great enough service to deserve being that out-of-it and lazy for a day.

Is it lonely up there on your pedestal, Heather? Happiness, “false” or otherwise is nothing but a chemical reaction in your brain that you percieve to be enjoyable. What do you like to do in your free time? (flick the bean much? probably not, because if you did you might not be so uptight) Everyone has their vices, don’t you think it’s a little conceded to judge others for habits that you deem to be moral or immoral, or maybe thats just your vice?

i personally dont smoke but i see nothing wrong with it, its safer than cigarettes, alcohol and some prescription drugs. which are all legal. im not saying legalize it but it pisses me off when people act so judgemental about it.
