Jim Carrey And Jenny McCarthy Split – Long time couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are apparently calling it quits. The couple was never married, but has been a model couple for troubled Hollywood relationships. The news broke when Jenny McCarthy wrote the following message on her Twitter Tuesday afternoon;
“I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.” The Jane she is referring to is Jim’s 22 year old daughter who recently had a child of her own, making Jim Carrey a grandfather. The two of them had been together for 5 years. Just after Jenny McCarthy wrote her Tweet, Jim posted a separate tweet of his own.
“Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>” McCarthy has expressed her desire previously to be a big part of the Carrey family. She once told the Ministry that she always intended to be a grandmother to Jane’s baby, whether her and Carrey would later be married or not. McCarthy, who once was a Playboy pinup model, went on to say “I will be called ‘grandmother with or without a marriage certificate.” It is unclear at this point why the couple decided to break up, but it sounds as if the breakup were a mutual one from the generally good hearted goodbyes that the couple left their fans on their Twitter page.
Jim Carrey, one of the most popular comedians of all time has starred in several movies recently including “Yes Man” and “A Christmas Carol,” suggesting that Carrey may be seeing a slight resurgence in his career. A career that has spanned over thirty years, and has won him the praises of millions of fans.
