iPad Wi-Fi Problems Fixed

iPad Wi-Fi Problems Fixed – The Apple iPad was released to an incredible amount of hype. The first day that the device went up for pre-sale, it was reported that Apple sold nearly 120,000 separate devices around the world. Shoppers who waited in line for their iPad on the launch day reported huge lines that stretched to the ends of malls across the United States. However, that doesn’t mean that the iPad has had a hassle free launch. Numerous bugs have been reported and discussed on websites spanning the Internet, and one recent bug has already been fixed by the Apple team.

Some iPad’s were having a problem auto-connecting to networks. After a lengthy discussion on the iPad support forums, it was found that if you raise the screen brightness above the minimum setting, the Wi-Fi network that you are trying to connect to will appear and allow you to connect. While the problem is a relatively minor one in the big scheme of things, if the problem was widespread with all iPad’s, it could become a much larger issue. The original user who reported the problem stated that every time his iPad went to sleep, it would fail to remember the Wi-Fi network that it had previously been connected to. Several different Apple employees suggested several different fixes on the support thread to no avail.

While this issue was relatively minor, it leads one to wonder what other issues the Apple iPad might be having connecting to Wi-Fi networks, and just how widespread the problems might actually be. Some have speculated that devices that are working with a limited amount of space like a netbook (or an iPad in this instance) have been known to have issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks in the past. It is believed that this is a hardware or design flaw, and that the problem has nothing to do with the software of the device.
