Dr. Jack Cassell Refuses To Treat Obama Supporters – The health care system is already in tatters and the new overhaul is not likely to help things. Over the next few years, people in need of medical attention are a lot less likely to be able to find a doctor.
Even before the shortage, a lot of people in certain parts of the country already found it difficult to find a doctor. The biggest problem is going to be for people that are newly insured. The extra strain on the supply is likely to affect these people more than anyone else.
So here are some basic statistics; around 30% of doctors in the US practice primary care, which is certainly not going to satisfy demand. Why? The Government has suggested that around 65% of people already have a short fall in supply for primary care, and with more newly insured patients, this short fall is only likely to get bigger!
If figures are correct and the Government actually manages to get their predictions right, then the health care system is going to be short somewhere in the region of 40,000 primary care doctors and that is just in the next ten years! Well, in a field of work where the hours are ridiculous, the rewards are minimal and the pay is minuscule, are we shocked?
Some items have been suggested and could help get the medical profession back on track. Things such as offering bonuses for top doctors could start to boost the amount of people looking for a career in health care – but it needs to come soon before it is too late!
Some physicians really dislikes the plan,a Florida doctor Dr. Jack Cassell who opposes the Obamacare is making headlines by posting a sign on his office door telling patients who voted for President Obama to get care “elsewhere.” But I am certain other urologists will gladly take care of those rejected by Cassell.
The doctor in Florida, Dr. Casell is a true idiot. A small minded man who should loose his practise over this. How can he truly care about individuals if politics get in the way of his jugments.

I’m quite sure that you’re used to the Overnight Deliveries, due to the “Pop Quizes” you had to do during your Ivy League type education from your parents plaid couch at home. After reviewing your response to the issue above, we have determined that your GED (Good Enough Diploma) should be revoked.
So, if you have enrolled in any online college courses, please cancel them and get a refund ASAP. You may need the few extra dollars for rent elsewhere if your travel trailor gets weather damaged outside of your usual Adult video store. Dr. Cassell, You seem to have forgotten the oath that you took when you became a doctor. President Obama is attempting to help those people out in this country who don’t have insurance and, by thus doing so, saving the hospitals money also. Your political opinions don’t belong intertwined with your office practice. Being a medical social worker I have seen the devastation to healthcare from and for those who have no insurance. At least Obama is trying. Personally I probably wouldn’t choose to go to a doctor that let his personal opinions interfere with care.

When waiting lists for surgery are too long the government simply draws up a new list the MSM will run a story telling Americans how luckey you are that Hussein has reduced the waiting lists from whatever to ZERO too bad if you are on the first list and not the NEW list.
The only people in Australia who can be sure of 100% medical treatment when THEY want it as opposed to when the Government says they are entitled to have it are Australians who have PRIVATE health insurance, forget this Socialist bull shit of MediCare aka Universal Health Care, anyone over 55 here with a serious illness who is dependant on MediCare for treatment is expendable and will if not able to access Private Hospital treatment be dead sooner than later.

Your post is ignorant. First of all, Dr. Cassel is going against the hypocratic oath and is refusing care to a section of America (yes, even Florida). I just saw his interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN, and his responses were ill informed and most of the time he would say something else to try and avoid the question. The whole thing made him look like an idiot (which he is).
Secondly, regarding your post, your solution is extreme and also ill advised. If you think that in economic times such as these, that people would be willing to quit their jobs, when many Americans are struggling to get by, as well as not pay their mortgage and lose their home, all for the sake of getting rid of Obama, then you are very ignorant.
If people purposefully quit their jobs and stop paying their mortgage, by choice, then they are digging their own holes and have no way to blame the Obama administration for what happened to them. If they have a job and decide to quit, then that is their own problem that they chose to create, which is of no fault to Obama. In fact, I bet that in today’s economy, someone quitting their job will not create a hole in that company’s employment for long, because it will take a day for someone else to fill the position because jobs are needed badly and people will take an open job in a second.
If people choose to not pay their mortgage, that is also their own choice and they are only making things bad on themselves. Making America homeless is not the answer, in fact it is a ludicrous and stupid suggestion.
And on a side note, God help us if Palin gets elected in 2012, for that will truly be the end of the world.

Health care – No, Jobs- no, higher wages – no, the stock market fell, banks fell, housing fell, jobs fell, 2 wars in progress, but on the bright side, the oil industry faired pretty well, oh, I forgot, Bush and Chenney were in to oil, they made the money while families lost their homes, jobs, savings, and the vehicles they were living in after they lost their homes too. Dr Cassell is a visionary, as an Australian I have lived the last thirty years under socialised medicine and it aint pretty.
Its not about patient care its about survival of the fittest, the present waiting list for ssurgery for sayt a knee replacement or hip replacement is around eighteen months to two years if you are luckey, you see the accountants figure you will probably die within that time span any way so they elect to cancell the surgery even if you make it into the hospital the day before after waiting your eighteen to twenty four months in agony.
Pregnant women give birth / miscarry in cleaners cupboards and toilets less than five miles from the center of the center of Sydney, Possums defecate in operating theaters in hospitals less than twenty miles from Sydney, WW2 veterans have to dial 000 (911) from their hospital beds to receive emergency attention from overworked and understaffed Hospital Staff.
Its about culling the herd, not about providing medical treatment to the sick.
Any American who believes that Hussein Care is all about caring for those who need it would believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming and as such deserves the medical catastrophe that will consume them sooner than later.
I should know I live in a first world country that has the best FOURTH WORLD health system in the world BAR NONE.

Not only are 5 out 6 comments coming from ignorant (of new health care law) people but they can’t spell either. Read page #148/149 of the bill. To begin with, we will still have our private insurance if we choose, until single payer kicks in, and it will. The government will dictate to the doctor that they can’t participate in the private insurance system unless they do everything what we (the gov) says, ie., a bureaucrat will dictate whether you get a stint/bypass/c-section, etc. There is a clause that prohibits an appeal so when the bureaucrat says the doctor can only perform this procedure on this patient, the decision is final. The doctor has to choose between what is right for the patient and avoiding a government penalty for disobeying. You have absolutely no idea where this nightmare is going. Your taxes will go up immediately to pay for this, it does not go into effect for another 4 years. Do you really think they are putting all this money collected in a ‘health care safe’? In addition to all the seniors already on medicare, there are millions more that will be qualified for it in the next 10-15 yrs. They are cutting 500 billion out of medicare. If doctors and hospitals are not getting reimbursed for treating this huge group of the U.S population, why will they continue to treat them? They aren’t and they won’t. Where do these people go for care? Are the states supposed to pick up the costs? Rationing and death panels, that’s what will happen. Baby born too early? Will they spend the money to give the baby a chance? Pacemaker for your grandmother? How old is too old? Have cancer? What stage are you in? What is the cost of chemo vs radiation vs just pain meds? Burned in a fire? Do you realize the cost to treat that victim? Do you wonder why people from all over the world come here for top quality care?
And as far as Dr. Cassell…….good for you.

There are myriad cuts over the next several years to Medicare and Medicaid, and hospice care. I really enjoyed the well thought out, detailed, and articulate response that James Canoy wrote. I’m currently trying to get his “home schooled GED” diploma revoked as you read this. Back on topic, this Doctor has not turned any patients away as of this writing. In addition to that, this individual has the right to free speech just like you and I.
