2010 Kids Choice Awards – “Get Slimed Tonight” was the introduction to the 2010 Kids’ Choice Awards, which was held at Los Angeles and hosted by Kevin James. Adam Sandler and James started the show off with a tasteful duet which kicked the night off in good fashion. This certainly set the tone for the night…
There were plenty of big names on the show including the likes of Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Jim Carrey, Jay-Z, Chris Rock, Jackie Chan, Robert Downey Jr., Tyra Banks, David Spade, Jonah Hill, Rosario Dawson, George Lopez, Lily Collins, Victoria Justice and Lea Michele.
But why the big turn out? The show looks at kids’ top choices when it comes to any type of medium, including television, movies, music and sports. Michelle Obama got the first big award in the form of a Nickelodeon Big Help Award. The award was presented for her efforts in motivating children to become fit and healthy and encourage others to do the same.
Jim Carrey is an actor that always seems to get honors for something or another. This time is was top honors for the Favorite Voice thanks to his contribution to Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future in A Christmas Carol.
So that was the awards, now onto the ceremony that took place. One of the most popular appearances was definitely Justin Bieber, mainly due to his talent,Rihanna also made an appearance that was welcomed by all.
