Alexis Pilkington Died – Today, Alexis Pilkington has passed away on the field playing the game that she loved the most. Alexis was only 17 years old at the time of her death. She was a member of the All Country West Islip Girls Soccer Team. This was a very prestigious league for someone her age, and many people who have played in the league have gone on to play professionally, or even play for the Olympic team. Last year, she had helped her team go on to win the high school soccer championships, and was heralded around many soccer circles as the best young female currently playing the game.
There have been conflicting reports as to what happened to Alexis. Some reports have said that Alexis Pilkington took her own life on the soccer field the night before she was discovered. Others have said that she died on the soccer field during the championship match. Since these two rumors began circulating, it has since been reported that Alexis Pilkington did not die at the soccer field at all, and instead died at some other location. Her father was a member of the New York police department, and he declined to comment on the young rising soccer star.
Friends of the young girl have been reportedly shocked that she would take her own life. Pilkington was reportedly in counseling in recent weeks, but many had felt that the therapy sessions had greatly helped her, and that she was on her way to recovery in the coming weeks and months. There will be a memorial service held for Alexis later in the week, at 4pm on Thursday at the Spencer Funeral home located in babylon. The family asks that if donations are made, to please make them to the soccer team that made Alexis so happy while she was living.
