Look out Cancun, spring break 2010 is upon us. It is that time of year again, with most college students off for a week of debauchery and, no doubt, fun times. While every college may celebrate spring break at a different time than all of the other colleges in the area, all of them are typically around the same time. Most college students receive the week off from the fifteenth of march, through the nineteenth, with the weekend added on to the end of the break. Some schools celebrate spring break the week before and after, but the vast majority of schools release their students during that time period.
There are many places that are often visited by students who are on spring break. The most popular locations include Cancun, Mexico, and Miami, Florida. Different spring break vacation locations can be more or less popular depending on what schools are located in the area surrounding the college. Other popular locations that many college students who are off from spring break choose to visit include Panama City, located in Florida, and Acapulco, Florida. In previous years it had been popular for students to visit the Bahamas, Jamaica, and other foreign countries during their spring break. This appears to be a less popular option during spring break 2010.
Spring break is known for its wild parties and loud music, but there are some other locations that some students decide to visit during their spring break festivities. Many students opt for visiting a ski resort instead of opting for the sunny and sandy beaches of a Mexican resort. There are many different locations that would make suitable spring break destinations. Many airlines offer discounts to college students who will be traveling during spring break.
